John Pawson for slowform

The Panel T-shirt is engineered from a single, continuous piece of custom-developed Italian Supima cotton jersey. By folding the fabric onto itself, we have eliminated standard shoulder seams entirely. 

Developed in collaboration with slowform, the creative process for the Panel T-shirt has followed the same essential narrative as every other project undertaken by the studio, in terms of reducing and paring away, in pursuit of the condition of minimum: the quality an object or space has when it is no longer possible to improve it by further subtraction.

By basing the design on the folding of a single panel, unnecessary seams are eliminated, bringing enhanced visual clarity and physical comfort to an item of everyday clothing.

Construction / Zero-shoulder seam, single-panel architectural construction.

Material / 100% long-staple Supima cotton jersey, milled in Italy. Developed to retain its architectural silhouette and structural integrity through years of wear.

Fit / Cut for ease of movement that connects form, fabric and space. An enduring daily uniform.

  • Weight + Composition / Mid-heavyweight, extra-long staple 100% Supima cotton.
  • Care Instructions / Machine wash at 30°. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Medium iron. Do not dry clean.

Returns

You may return any unused item within 14 days of delivery for a refund or exchange. Items must be in original, re-sellable condition; unworn, clean, unwashed, with tags attached and neatly folded in original packaging.

UK customers may return items for a refund, credit, or exchange. International customers may return items for refund or credit only; exchanges are not available due to customs restrictions.

Please allow up to 10 days for refunds to be processed after receipt of returned goods. Separate orders must be returned individually.

John Pawson makes rigorously simple architecture, furniture and objects. Born in Halifax, Yorkshire to a family whose business was in textiles, his roots can be traced back to these traditions of industry and design. After a period living in Japan, Pawson set up his practice in London in 1981. His celebrated body of work is an expression of his enduring preoccupation with light, space, proportion, volume and materials.
